SACRED HEART TRADITIONS

Throughout the academic year, the staff and pupils of St. Catherine's College celebrate the Feast Days associated with the Society of the Sacred Heart. These celebrations take place in all Sacred Heart Schools throughout the world. Class assemblies are held, table quizzes are organised, and very often the pupils write and perform a play associated with one of the famous Sisters of the Society of the Sacred Heart. The key feast days that are celebrated are as follows:

  • Mater Admirabilis - 20 October;

  • St Philippine Duchesne, First Missionary of the Society of the Sacred Heart - 17 November;

  • St Madeleine Sophie Barat, Foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart - 20 May.
