Sims Parent App

SIMS PARENT APP

From September 2017, we are rolling out the SIMS Parent App to the Parents/Guardians of Year 8, Year 10, Year 11 and Year 13 pupils.

Why use the SIMS Parent App?

  • Easy and convenient to use
  • No need to remember a new username or password
  • Information is accessible at a time convenient to you
  • You can access information about your child from a smartphone, tablet or PC
  • The information that you will receive through the App will help ypu support your child’s developement and progress as well as stay up-to-date with school lofe

What information will you be able to see

  • Attendance information – you will receive a weekly notification about your child’s attendance
  • Achievement information – a notification is sent every time your child receives a merit
  • School calendar and school contact details
  • Your child’s timetable
  • Your child’s tracking, Christmas and summer reports
  • Access to data collection sheet – so we will always have the most up-to-date information
  • If you have more than one child at the school, you will have access to information for all your children, from the same App

How to access the SIMS Parent App?

STEP 1: Download the SIMS Parent App from the App store to your phone or iPad. 

STEP 2: An invitation email will be sent to you, like the one below, click on the link in the email.  This invitation will be sent to the email address that we currently hold in our SIMS database.

STEP 3:  Sign in with one of the following.

1. I can’t download apps to my phone  SIMS Parent is accessible from the following web addresshttps://www.sims-parent.co.uk/ 
2. I haven’t received an email invitation Contact the school and ask to speak to Mrs Emma Hughes, she will check that the email address we have for you is correct and then re-issue an invitation 
3. I don’t have any of the accounts listed in STEP 3 You will need to set up an account. Microsoft is one of the easiest accounts to set up 
4. I don’t have internet access St Catherine’s College facilities will be available 
5. I have followed the steps listed above and I still cannot sign in Contact the school and ask to speak to Miss M Black (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or Mrs Emma Hughes 

NOTE

From November 2017 Saint Catherine’s College is moving from SIMS Learning Gateway to the SIMS Parent App – this should remove all issues with usernames and passwords for SLG

For the academic year 2017-2018 - school reports for Year 12 pupils will be published to both SIMS Learning Gateway and SIMS Parent App
