Saint Catherine’s College Senior Prize-giving

Saint Catherine’s College recently held its annual Senior Prize-giving event to celebrate the completion of significant academic milestones by students. Guest speaker for the event was Dr Suzanne Kingon. She gave an inspiring and motivating speech, reflecting on her own pathway that led her to her current position as Deputy Permanent Secretary for Education.

She reminded them all to be proud of their achievements and of themselves in an address that was widely acclaimed by parents and pupils. Principal, Mrs Noeleen Tiffney, paid tribute to pupils on achieving such incredible results. She thanked parents and governors for their support and praised teachers for their part in pupils’ success. Prizewinners and award recipients on the evening encompassed academic achievements, pastoral awards and acknowledgement of success and perseverance in the face of challenge and adversity.

The Kingston Cup is awarded to students who achieve outstanding results in their A Level examinations. Shauna Fields, Evie Mulholland, Freya Tiffney (3 A* grades), Olivia McAfee and Blaithin O’Sullivan, who each achieved at least two A* grades at A Level, are pictured with School Principal Mrs Noeleen Tiffney and Guest Speaker Dr Suzanne Kingon after receiving this year’s award.
