Welcome To Saint Catherine's College
We have an excellent record of academic success with our pupils achieving outstanding GCSE and A level grades, the result of dedicated teaching, pupil commitment and hard work, supportive parents and a deep ambition for every pupil to do himself or herself full justice in personal and academic terms. Every pupil is nurtured so that they can reach their maximum potential.
I am delighted you are interested in getting to know about Saint Catherine’s College. Our website will give you a flavour of the richness and diversity of what Saint Catherine’s has to offer each and every one of its pupils. Saint Catherine’s College has existed for forty years in Armagh but its parent school, the Sacred Heart Convent, existed for many years before that. In fact the first RSCJ school opened in Armagh in 1851. The Society of the Sacred Heart has therefore been at the centre of educating girls and, in the past ten years boys, for one hundred and sixty years. We are proud of our heritage and have built up strong links with our many feeder and local primary schools and Sacred Heart schools throughout the world. In Saint Catherine’s we aim to educate the whole person, we aim to encourage all of our pupils to become responsible members of their communities, both helping others in the local community and recognising and responding to the needs of a wider world. We want all our pupils to be confident of their own worth. We put good positive and respectful relationships at the heart of everything we do in Saint Catherine’s and believe that this sense of community and mutual respect for everyone is what makes the school a very special one.
