A Rights Respecting School: St. Catherine’s College

As a school, St. Catherine’s College has successfully secured the Bronze Rights Respecting Schools Award. This logo now appears on all website and social media platforms in recognition of this status.

This award recognises our commitment to placing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) at the heart of our school’s practice.

Fundamentally it will involve our whole school community learning about rights and understanding how they underpin our core values, vision and ethos. This is obviously clearly tied to the goal of Social Awareness.

Our recently elected Rights Respecting Steering Group (pictured below) reflects the diversity of our school community and will act both to educate pupils and be another pupil voice. They will help educate the school community on fundamental children’s rights.

This year we have embarked on our journey towards Silver.
